The compounding effect of outdated dispatch facilities and an unreliable radio network creates an unsuitable risk for first responders and the public. The PCFCA strongly supports the current efforts of South Sound 9-1-1 to improve emergency communications. Through this effort, first responders will be provided with the tools necessary to respond safely and efficiently to emergencies throughout Pierce County.

Your comment makes no sense. The District 6 Board of Commissioners voted 4-0 Monday to “support” South Sound 911. In fact, you abstained from the vote, which was odd since you are the leader of the opposition campaign. If you don’t support it, why didn’t you vote no? The fact is that fire and police leaders and personnel all over the county support Prop 1, as this list shows.
